ooOoo

“Severus, are you all right? You look... pale,” Harry said immediately after man´s return home.

“I met a boggart this morning...”

“Oh, Merlin, Severus, and did he... has he done anything to you?” Harry grabbed his hand and pulled him into his arms.

Severus tilted his head and put his forehead on his shoulder. “The vision was different...”

“What...” Harry gulped. “What was it before?”

The older man closed his eyes. “Lily. It was always Lily. She was blaming me for... everything.”

“And now?” Harry held his breath.

Severus lifted his head, his eyes locked with Harry´s. “I saw you...”

A short explanation, if you need it - not necessary:

A/N (not beta-read): I hope it´s clear that they love each other. So the boggart´s vision should be something where Harry is in danger or dead or is leaving Severus, etc. The vision made by boggart comes from Severus´ mind as with Lily, but in that case he blamed himself for her death, so she was blaming him as well.

I've always loved stories that feature Snape's boggart. This was no exception.

Oh, a boggart is such a lovely tool for an author to show the changes in one's emotions, especially when that certain someone is so tigth-lipped when it comes to sharing emotions. Nicely used prompt:)

Oh... This is a fantastic theme for this particular prompt, pat. I love what you did with it. How subtly you implied both the shift of focus in the object of Severus' affection and the depth of his actual emotions. This was both beautifully tender and breathtakingly haunting. It's perfection in 100 words once again, pat. And no, I'm not being generous, so don't you dare claiming that I am... :)

I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care for now, my friend.
Hugs
